We stayed for the religious ceremony

We visited quite early morning and a mass was just commencing. For a midweek morning we thought the congregation considerable.

It was practically completely rebuilt and dedicated to the Augustinians in the mid 17th century.

It's a lovely church, attractively ornate. The central nave leads to the gorgeous altar area, A number of artworks adorn the space, particularly statuary. Another noteworthy architectural feature is the grand ceiling.

I've been here during my visit in town, located nearby the famous market Porta Palazzo, very old church built around XV century from a previous church dated back IX century.
Built by the Augustine Order and consacreted in 1643.
This church consisting of three naves separeted pilasters. The facade conforms to the principles of the 16th century architecture but was actually the results of 1912 renovation.
The city's executioners were buried in the base of the tower.
However that's the church that has been visited.
