Glass GreenHouse ???
Jun 2019 • Couples
Perhaps using this modern railway station on one of the hottest days of the year influenced our appreciation - but the main concorse did seem very warm!
Lots of empty space much of which has no real purpose whatsoever.
Our Train to Paris was cancelled - not the fault of the station - but that did not endear us to it.

New, modern and bright in historic area
May 2019 • Friends
Torino has two train stations in its center - the classic Porta Nuova - the main one in the very city center and this new, Porta Susa. Because of the vicinity to our hotel we chose Porta Susa as it was only some 10 min walk.
Porta Susa is a new, very modern station with new building materials used with curved glass and steel all around it, so it's very bright. We used it twice (when arrived and departed to Milan), directions and timetables are clearly marked, had no issues at all. Both times it was immaculately clean serving fab Italian high speed trains.
Moreover, the station is built in an historic area, on the spot where a medieval Citadel used to be from where the French invaded. There's a model of it just outside the station, and for those more curious only 3 min walk is a great underground Pietro Mica museum, dedicated to a local hero from those times.

.. an interesting new building ...
Feb 2018 • Solo
... heralding a new style in building train stations, but echoing the grandeur of the eclectic/steel buildings of yesteryear ... much needed to decrease traffic in Porta Nuova and easy to navigate ... also easy to get to Malpensa airport from here, either by train (longer, so allow at an extra 45 minutes) or bus, across the street with frequent departures (an hour and forty minutes) ...

A Fine Station, Many Amenities
Jul 2017 • Solo
This is a fine train station. It's huge, with many shops and amenities. Trains, high speed and regionale,
from all over Italy call here. If you're coming from the south or west you seem to have to make a pointless stop at the sorry Lingotto station first - which sort of slows everything down. PN also offers connections to the metro trams and buses. The public restrooms are sw of where the trains and signage to find them are inconsistent. Cost 1€

Lot of space, few amenities.
Feb 2017 • Couples
Big, bright, cold and sterile. Purely functional. Great little coffee shop which is so good and reasonable there's nearly always a cue at peak times. It looks and feels like a greenhouse with no plants.

The BEST Station for the High Speed Train in EUROPE !
Oct 2016 • Business
Finally the real Station for the high speed train. This is what you need to move quick and fast.

I use a lot the station for both the High Speed Trains Italo or Freccia Rossa, and this concept of station can change really your life if you travel for Business, either for leisure.

It is also the best sign of Torino City, for anyone who get into the city, for the first time, or forever !!

Get In there, and love this CITY !

Useful for connections
Sep 2016 • Solo
Porta Susa was only a couple of blocks from my B&B, so was a useful connection point going to and from Malpensa. Most staff were helpful. You can take trains from the terminal itself, or buses just across the road.

The station itself seems pretty modern. It's fairly well sign-posted, although I did have to ask a couple of people to be certain of the direction I was going for my train.

An easy station to use
Aug 2016 • Couples
Getting there from other stations such as Porta Nuova is easy....the new Metro is cheap, frequent and fast. One tip: when navigating the EXIT gates, tow bags behind you, as the gates won't open if you push a bag ahead. Spacious upper floor with adequate cafes and plenty of good destination screens. Access to the platforms is easy and one ends up in the centre of the long platform. Prior to the arrival of your train, overhead displays will show where each set of carriage doors will be found, making boarding much easier.
