Nothing special

The library is quaint and historic but if you go there it’s problaly only going to be for 10 minutes unless you actually want a book.

An old beautiful library
Jul 2017 • Couples
It is a good museum with old drawings and books. We were passing by and decided to take a look at th work of Leonardo da Vinci. So if you are intersted in works of Renaissance's painters, visit the library

Beautiful library
Jul 2016
I love this library, just for wandering through and looking through the exhibits and all the old book covers. It's very beautiful and historic and doesn't have a fee to enter. There are sometimes exhibits held there as well. Worth a peek!

Uncountable works of art!
Apr 2015 • Family
We were there to see the Leonardo da Vinci's self portrait(it will be available for visitors for a limited time so before going there "only" for the self-portrait it is better to be sure that the period is not over) and...yes it was splendid... But we visited all the museum and I saw an uncountable works of art. If you are in Turin you should go there...Really!

A treasure of a find!

The royal library in Turin can be difficult to find, but is absolutely worth the trouble! You can find the direct entrance to the library under the arcades of Piazza Castello, on the north-side of the square. But wait! First you must go to the ticket office of the Palazzo Reale (also on Piazza Castello) and get a ticket. You can buy a ticket for a few euros that gains you entrance to the library and royal armory -or- purchase an inclusive ticket that covers the entire royal compound (royal palace, library, and armory). If you get the ticket for the library and armory only, you then should walk back out to the square and to the separate entrance for the library (otherwise, you can enter the library directly from the royal palace). While living in Turin for 2 years, I had many visitors, and in my experience, touring the whole royal compound can be a lot for one visit, and definitely recommend breaking it up. It was always nice to pop in to the library and armory on a rainy day for an hour. The library, in particular, is never crowded, and filled with magnificent historic volumes collected by the Savoy, hidden staircases leading to the former royals' private chambers, and jewel-like display cases for rare manuscripts, letters, invitations and announcements, and other curiosities showcased in the library's rotating exhibitions. This really is not to be missed!

technical error in tripadvisor
Nov 2012 • Family
I did not found a better way to contact tripadvisor team.... I don't understand why, but on the map Rivalta di Torino seems to be inside the city of Torino, and a lot (if not all) RIvalta di Torino attractions are actually Torino attraction, actually being duplcated, splitting comments in two different threads. actually the Biblioteca Reale di Torino is in Torino, in the Royal Palace, and not in Rivalta di Torino.
anyway is a stunning library. its drawings collection is unique in the world. too bad they are normally not on display. look for Da Vinci exhbits....
