We were in Torino for 5 days and added this as the final museum stop on our way South to Barolo and other wine towns on our itinerary. Parking was easy just in front of the building and a 7 minute walk to the entrance. If you are a gear head this is a must see in Italy and Europe for that matter. Although it’s not an exhaustive collection of every F1 Ferrari it’s pretty close. The building is ultra modern and spans 4 levels with the 2nd fl devoted to the evolution of automobile from the horse drawn carriage. Vehicles are from across Europe and the US and laid out in a purposeful manner. Practically all signage is translated to English. Interesting area devoted to the principal designers at Ferrari, Alfa Romeo which featured interviews as to how they began their careers and design inspiration. We bought our tickets on site as we had some challenges with the website and it was no problem and a very short line at 11am on a weekday. We did have to provide our recent Negative COVID test result to enter and IDs (passports). We did not have the Green Pass or QR code. There’s a nice shop with some. Very high end gifts in a medium sized gift shop but you’d be best to visit the Ferrari store in Milan.

Good museum

It was a ok car museum, we would expect to see a bit more morden cars and bit more FIAT, but too much old cars which was not very interesting. But still, nice to visit, but not a must.

Nice cars, but zero interactivity
Jul 2021
My younger daughter, aged 5, loves cars, and so we came here with high hopes. But very quickly it was apparent that there's nothing to do except to look at antique cars and to read the tiny plaques the accompanied them with scant details. The one interactive exhibit we saw, which was a small ride that looped through a mock car manufacturing plant, was closed. After just 30 minutes my daughter was ready to go home. She liked the Formula 1 car near the end of the exhibit, and there was a nice Ferrari and Lamborghini near the exit, but it was too little, too late.

Fabulous museum
Oct 2020 • Friends
We visited this only a short walk from the NH Torino Lingotto Hotel.
This really is a fabulous museum & well worth spending some time looking around. The displays of vehicles are fantastic, so well lit & laid out. Am not a great fan of museums but this really does draw you in & hold you.

Impressive!

My boyfriend and I aren't particulary 'car'people. Yet, we enjoyed our visit to this museum a lot! At the entrance there is a race car where you can sit in and then you can race and see it on the screen. (it was very popular, so we didn't get to it)They have used nice techniques to let it seem that people came out of the screen, there was a movie about the invention of the wheel and also a movie about how a modern car is constructed in the factory. You can see the evolution of first cars turning into the newest ones. A lot of cars are presented, also race machines and miniature cars. Although we don't speak italian, with the miniature cars at the end, we could figure out what it was about when for example it said "l'auto più economica" (the cheapest car) because they had made it clear by putting a money pig aside it. The only remark is that some movies weren't translated (like for example the movie of the guy in the garage). If you don't speak Italian, you don't understand any of it... That's a shame. But in general, nice museum! We spend about 1 hour and a half in it because there was a lot to see!

Mind blowing display
Oct 2020
I wondered if I’d like this museum as I’m not really a petrol head, but it’s a fantastic journey through the history of the motor car with great exhibits, films and narratives from al over the world. From Henry Ford, the Austin Seven, Hitlers Beetle and East Germany’s mass production to sensational vintage and modern Ferrari’s and Lamborghinis (and the E-type Jag]. Loved the lighting which gave the cars paintwork a whole different dimension.

A surprisingly fun place.

Really fun experience. If you love cars. If you love Italy. If you love Italian cars, from Ferrari Formula One, to concept cars, and even quirky rare Italian cars you never heard of, this place is great.

Came here on a drab rainy day and had a fun afternoon!

Enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours

Enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours, viewing the temporary and permanent exhibitions. We particularly enjoyed the section on car designers, although we would have benefited from a bit more English translation in that area.

East to find, easy to park around the museum with a fee, or in a garage.
Entrance price is affordable (full price is 12 EUR), and the experience is unique.
A lot to see and to read, from old to new, through the whole history of auto sport and racing.
There is also a souvenir shop and cafe, on the ground floor, where you can relax after the visit.
You will have a lot of fun and see legendary cars.
