We spent a day here while travelling in our motorhome round the Italian lakes. Orta san Guilio is a lovely place to visit, and we would return to see the island again in the future.

This hidden gem of the Italian lakes was the venue for my daughters wedding The restaurants and hotels are all typically boutique, Small but pleasant.

Even on sunday not much visitors. Quite peaceful and calm area. Not a must see place for me! You can visit san gulio island by boat. Sone cafes and restaurants are available but donnot expect much. All the area is avarage for food.

The big but! Parking is limited, so, when you park in the car park and come back to find the ticket machine doesn't work and the help line doesn't help, it can be VERY frustrating! Idiots! The train ran frequently all the time we didn't...More

This was one of the stops on our group tour and we were stunned by the beauty of this smallish but remarkable lake. San Giulio Island is the highlight and is the centerpiece of most lake photos. There is a peaceful feel to this lake,...More
