The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

Iron panoramic tower
Jan 2021 • Solo
Inside the Sempione Park , after the restarted of tourism stopped for coronavirus, you must go up to the tower Branca and have a superb view of the city.
The tower was built in 1933 in the fascist era during the 5th edition of Milan Triennial on design of architect Gio Ponti

A tower for a higher landscape view
Feb 2020
It is a relatively high tower located in the beautiful Sempione Park for those who would like to see a higher landscape and city view.

Awesome view!

Finally we made it to the top! On our previous visits to Milan the Torre was always closed.
This time we booked our tix online. At arrival we had to leave our names and our temperature was taken (due to the Covid pandemic). Only 2 people plus the guide take the elevator which is great. Awesome views of the city, very nice guide who explained a lot about the buildings and the history. We had plenty of time to take pictures.
Torre Branca is a Must for any visitor of Milan! Highly recommended! And at €6 per ticket reasonably priced.

Nice view when the weather is right

We really enjoyed our 10min upt there. Time is limited as others wait downstairs and there is only one lift for 10 persons max. The view was great although the guide told us there was a bit of smog and usually you can see more. We still enjoyed it and the guide was able to explain everything and he answered all questions we had. It seemed he really loves his city. Nice experience up there.

Waste of money

Really nothing to see, you can get a nicer view from duomo rooftop so this is really not needed. I would skip this one if i had this knowledge before.

Dear fedjablpula, we are sorry that you did not like the 360 degree view offered by our panoramic room at an altitude of 99 meters. Best regards.

For only 6 Euros/person we had an interesting experience. 5 minutes of exploring Milan & taking pictures. Our guide, Danielle, was very nice and pointed out the iconic buildings and places. I recommend this experience.

Erratic opening hours
May 2019 • Couples
We went there on a weekend in the afternoon and it was closed. I read in the guidebooks that it has erratic hours but still disappointed nonetheless.

Good morning. The official timetables are http://www.museobranca.it/torre-branca-2/ I could indicate in which week it was closed. The only reason for the closure is in the case of wind or technical system. Waiting codependently greeting.

Having seen this attraction on a travel program just before we were due to visit Milan, it looked an interesting attraction to visit. We initially made the mistake of just turning up, only to find it closed as it is only open certain days (Hint - check times and dates before visiting). We returned when we knew it was open and were very glad we did. At first sight it doesn't seem much, but if you enjoy the sights of a city from a high vantage point (we've enjoyed CN tower in Toronto; Eifel Tower; Harbour tower in Vancouver; and others) this is definitely the place to go in Milan. for only 5 euros you get a lift to the top, a helpful and knowledgeable guide who points out landmarks and on cold days the indoor viewing platform is heated. The lift takes about 8 people max so it is a small group at the top so you can chat at length with the guide. Located near the Castle and the Peace Arch it is close to the centre of Milan and has an excellent view of the Duomo amongst other key sights.

Well worth a visit

This should be on your to-do list for Milan. It only takes a few minutes and the views from the top are spectacular! You won’t get a view like this anywhere else. It only costs around €5 and is worth every bit of it.
