The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

A very pretty little museum with some amazing works of art
Dec 2019
There are some extraordinary pieces here and the setting in the medieval castle is gorgeous. I don't love that they move you from room to room in a group since you can't just wander around at will. On the other hand, it keeps the place from feeling too crowded.

Like any other

This museum is part of Castello museum. It has a large collection of items from all times, but they do not have something that is specific and authentic just like all others museums of that type

Part of the Castle museum, this museum has quite nice collection of artefacts, but organization layout should be better.
Great coloured glass everywhere.

An amazing museum
Oct 2017 • Couples
We were lucky as it was free entrance as it was the first Sunday of the month. This museum is just fabulous and you need a long time to see it. It just goes on for ages and you must see it. Fabulous art works.

The ancient history of the city
Aug 2017 • Couples
The museum is housed in rooms bearing Sforza and Spanish era decorations, with many interesting items from the ancient history of the city and surrounding region. I can understand that it is not so interesting for everybody, especially with the ongoing restoration, but for me it was a great experience, like most of them in the neighborhood.

Badly organised, poor collection, never seen such a bad museum on this subject. And staff doesn't know anything, and only speeks Italian!

Nice Art
Feb 2017 • Family
This part of Castello Sforzesco museums covers mostly medieval art, especially statues. Besides that, the rooms are amazing themselves with painted ceilings, including one of them painted by Leonardo.

This is the first museum we encountered after the buying the tickets, which include all the museums in Castello Sforzesco. The exhibits are interesting and well signed.

Museo d'arte antica inside the Castello Sforzesco
May 2014 • Couples
This museum is inside the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. It houses a lot of medieval and renaissance paintings, weapons, armors, statues displayed in many rooms. One of the most important pieces is the Rondanini Pieta sculpted by Michelangelo. Also don't miss the huge room ceiling painted by Leonardo.
