Highly recommended if you want to combine books/work/drinks/food
May 2018 • Solo
Since books and food are some of my favorite things/activities I spent some time in this cafe/library/book shop, because they literally have all you need. Big and small meals, coffee, tea and other drinks and of course books. But you can also bring your own book or laptop and read/work there. Since its not really common (or at least I didn't experience it as that) to read a book/work in a cafe in Milano, I was really happy I found this place.

Great book selection and great staff

I stopped there with a couple of friends to look for books and grab a coffee.
The place is super nice and quiet. The selection of books is interesting. Definitely a stop if you are in the neighborhood.

Very cool place for food & books

This is a bookstore and café with a nice outdoor space (car free!). They serve yummy bagels and sandwiches, we also had hummus and bruschetta. They have a nice selection of artisanal beers. Service is super friendly.
Good for breakfast, lunch and dinner and in-between snacks.

A rip off
Jul 2016 • Couples
We ordered an aperitif for two people and we didn't get even some crips or anything to eat. Two drinks and a sandwich 15 euro. A real rip off. Get elsewhere if you are looking for a decent aperitif in Milan even the city centre you will get a better deal.

Pretentious, moi?
Nov 2015 • Friends
A pretentious little bookstore-coffee place frequented mainly by local yuppies very pleased with their babies and dogs. A noisy little dog roams the store unsupervised.
Nice selection of books, but impossible, almost, to enjoy a little peace and quiet at the tables.
Lukewarm capuccinos, expensive drinks, awful snacks with the aperitivo, unfriendly staff. I stopped patronizing it a long time ago, and no longer recommend it to my friends.

A bookshop/cafè that is also the closest thing to a "local" in Milan!

This is my home from home. I first entered a couple of days after they opened and the welcomed me immediately. Since that day, quite a few things have changed. But one thing remains the same: their vision.

They want to provide a place that does not favour one over another. They want to provide access to a world that is not governed by the publishing giants. They want to propose a limited menu with quality items rather than confuse you with choice. And they have succeeded. Ask them about their dreams, books or kitchen and you will quickly see that they know what they are talking about.

This place is open to one and all, dogs and children included, and all are equal within.

I am delighted to have this place close to my home.

Slow, unfriendly and expensive
Jul 2015 • Couples
Do not go there if you are no italian. What an unfriendly crowd. No service, you can only get at the counter and they even fill up your tea with only half a cup, but you still pay 3,50 EUR. Bathroom by the way used more than a storeroom and go only there if you have no way out.. not the cleanest one..

Heart of the neighbourhood

As someone who goes to this lovely, cosy, quirky and fun cafe/library at least once if not twice a day, I can tell you that the staff is unvariably friendly and in a good mood and the food is excellent. I would recommend the amazing croissants (the best i have ever had in Italy) and fresh orange juice for breakfast, one of their amazing ciabattas and tonic for lunch, and some delicious prosecco and cheese for aperitivo. The library itself also has a great selection of books and can also order whatever you request.
I absolutely love this place and wish I could take it with me when I leave Milan.

Perfect book oasis
Nov 2013 • Solo
After reading reviews on various blogs, I decided to head over one afternoon in search of some wifi, coffee and bites to eat. What I stumbled upon was a perfect little piece of paradise. The staff is incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and super funky, and the food is delicious (not to mention a quirky setting for an aperetivo!) They also have a great selection of books ranging from children's stories to rare books to fiction. I now call this place my Thursdsay ritual, and I don't intend on moving anytime soon.
