The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

INVITATION ONLY TO LOOK INSIDE
Sep 2018 • Solo
Unfortunately I can only mark this as a 3/5 rating as I only got to see the outside and courtyard, there is no doubt it would have been 5/5 if I would have got inside. The interior is only open by invitation only on certain occasions so you need to check with the venue beforehand. Unfortunately I was handed a invite whilst I was there but it was for two weeks later and after I had left Milan. It has a nice facade and courtyard but if the interior is not open I'd give it a miss.

Impressive place. There for a professional dinner. Incredible spaces, in particular the courtyard and the very large room with the Tiepolo ceiling. Really feeling lucky having been given an opportunity to dine in such a wonderful place. Go if you can!

A big surprise

You should book in advance, if you want to visit the palace. It is wonderful, with Tiepolo frescoes, and famous paintings. It is worth to visit!

Charming Palace
May 2017 • Business
Palazzo Clerici is one of the most charming palace in town .
It is in the heart of Milano .

Don't miss

In 1740 Giorgio Antonio Clerici commissioned Giambattista Tiepolo to decorate the ceiling of the main gallery which became the Galleria del Tiepolo.
There are three art forms to be admired in this room: the painting on the ceilings, the cabinetry of the wood panelling and the silk art tapestries on the walls.

If you love art and hidden gems this is the place to go!

This is not a public building!
May 2016 • Family
We just visited Milan and tried to visit the Palazzo Clerici but were turned away. The building belongs to a think tank and is not open to the public, but offers tours and one can visit when they have seminars and events. Check with the Palazzo well ahead of time when and how you can visit. Well worth seeing based on all the reviews in Italian on this site!

Looks can be deceiving...
Oct 2012 • Solo
Outside building is quite ordinary but inside it's a real shock. Giovanbattista Tiepolo's frescoed ceiling depicting "The Chariot of the Sun" is a true revelation. Not to be missed although Palazzo Clerici is not a museum usually open to the public. Only on special occasions admittance is allowed but it's worth it.
