This is probably the biggest open space in the middle of mantova, the garden is mostly grass and trees and is a good place to relax. There is a staue of virgil at one end. Go if you just want to kick back for a while away from the crowds.

The Piazza Virgiliana is at the end of a large park in Mantua. You likely won't go here just to see the statue (unless you're a Latin major), but if you are looking for a place to sit down and relax after a day of sight-seeing, this is nearby and has lots of opportunities to sit and collect your thoughts.
