This old fashioned museum is attached to the Museo storico and they can be visited together. The exhibitions are informative and interesting but unfortunately the informations are only in Italian. See my review of the Museo storico.

Good for an hour or two - with varied exhibits in a rabbit warren of rooms. Some lovely and unexpected frescos and ceilings and gives some insight into the history of Como and the surrounding area.

A lovely museum of Como's past and history spread over thousands of years. Lovely statuary, artifacts, and paintings and a great deal of esoterica. The museum is a bit confusing to navigate even with the included map.
