We took this trip on a beautiful autumn day, but shame somewhat misty at the top. Lovely little village Brunate, nice church which we visited. Short journey on the funicular, reasonable price. Can recommend

We took the funicolare twice. First one was on the afternoon and the carriage was relatively packed. Second ride was next day in the dark. Up around 8 and down after 9. It was quite empty, but the view to the city lights was enjoyable....More

Great fun thing to do while in Como. Two things to remember: (1) make sure its a clear day (2) bring a camera. The cable car rises slowly to the summit where you disembark. There are several retail outlets close to where the ride stops...More

The funicular ride up to Brunate was quick, about a seven minute ride. Awesome view if you are in the front of the car. Walls and trees disturb a great photo opportunity on the trip up and down. There was a line when we arrived...More

Paid 18 euros for 2 adults and 2 children to go up to nothing and seeing nothing due to the rain, fog and mist. Pointless.

Lucky enough to get a clear day in a week of rain. Worth waiting to get a front or back window view as I was in the middle on the way back and saw very little. Stunning views over Lake Como on the way up....More

We're not hikers, so we enjoyed a scenic ride in the cable car to the top of the mountain, where we got off and did not ascend any further! Instead we stopped at the lovely Ristorante Bellevista for some Prosecco & appertivo's and enjoyed the...More

You can walk around. There are a few shops, snack bars, and restaurants. Some small streets to explore and discover the area. People live up there. Enjoy!

Was there 2 weeks ago. My mother was on wheel chair, I had no issues getting her around. At the top, still able to push her around.

You can probably seat about 6 per carriage (maybe slightly less in front and rear carriages) and there are about 4 carriages. There is also standing room.
