We took a walk to the castle & climbed the steps inside. Very high, with some lovely views. Interesting as well - there's a short story/explanation inside, which I will show in the photo. We walked around the gorgeous grounds - and what a sight...More

It was a hot day, and we took the Funicular San Vigilio rather than walking. The funicular has a small charge. You must use coins to buy tickets for the funicular from a machine, and there is no staff to help you figure out what...More

Once up there you get a nice view of bergamo and around! You can get there with the funicular and 10 mins walk. Clean, organized! Some nights they organize events on the moon light!

Lovely place to spend some time. The views from here are amazing, you can see Milan on a clear day but the view of the mountains made it for me.

Really lovely panoramic views, we had a great picnic there! We drove up but in a very small car. Nice place for walks too!

I enjoyed taking the funicular up to the castle. The views over the surrounding countryside were beautiful. I chose to walk back down from the castle, which was a long walk, but very pretty and one of the highlights of my day in Bergamo.

~We took the funicolare from Citta Alta but because of the weather we didn't see much due to the heavy cloud cover and rain. I would revisit in better weather and I am sure the views would be spectacular.

Free activity. I took the funicular up, and from there a few minutes walk to the Castello. The area is nice and you can get some good pictures if the day is clear.

Took the second funicular up to San Vigilio castle. There is a nice park there with beautiful views of the city below and of the mountains in the distance.

Walk right through the old town to reach the funicular up to the top of the hill. Its not very clear where its situated. Brilliant views for miles over Bergamo and the surrounding countryside from the top of the hill.
