A great way, and the easiest of getting to the old town, worth the experience at least once, there was only one car working the first day(Saturday) so queue was longer than expected

Took the funicular up to the old town and back down again. We bought the 24 hour transport ticket €5 which included the all transport in bergamo including the funicular and airport bus. Much more fun than walking up the steep hill

Fare Included in 72 hour card. It takes you from lower town to upper town with another funicular taking you from upper town to the castle, a must for the panoramic views.

Great way to get to Alto Bergamo and down to Basa Bergamo. There are lineups but it does move fast and is somewhat organized. Tickets can be purchased at the base and costs 5.20€ return for two people.

The funicular serves to take passengers from Bergamo Basso to Bergamo Alta. It does that job. What more can one say?
