An opulently richly decorated basilica, almost excessively so, but nonetheless fascinating. The main picture of this listing is actually that of Capella Colleone, which is accessed through a separate entrance.

It's difficult to convey with words just how profusely decorated this church is. There's sculptures, painted walls and ceilings, gilded wood works, high relief, all combined to form this marvelous "object" of contemplation.

Like most Catholic Churches in Italy. Overwhelming and makes one wonder why the money spent to build but then one has to try to understand the politics during the day when this was built.

Inside it is full baroque, otside different styles, but the whole church is amazing. It is a real gem in Bergamo, not by chance is on Tripadvisor on the 1. place!

its Basilica has located in Bergamo, for visit you need to take e-tickets on e-platform of this Basilica. If you dont have tickets you cant visit. Very long an hard traffic to visit it. You could wait 1-3 monthes, depend... More
