For the best views over Bergamo, definitely stop by. Second from top platform is reached by elevator, so accessible even for the less athletic, but the stairs to the topmost platform are small and narrow. Bells play right above the heads on the top platform,...More

It is very seldom, that in so old structures you don't need to make your way over some hundred steps. The view from above is amazing, you have the whole city - both Upper and Lower - at your foot.

Of all the attractions this one was interesting. The museum visit also includes an elevator ride to nearly the top of the tower. Still some stairs to navigate to get to the bell tower. Beware that the bell DOES RING and LOUD when you are...More

A wonderful vantage point for a stunning 360 degree view of the citta alta, citta bassa and the snow covered alps in the distance. The sound of the noontime bell ringing is exhilarating to say the least and there is a small, but interesting museum...More

You gotta get on top of this tower to get a picture of every part of the city. The entrance is through the museum found at the bottom of the tower in the central Piazza.

The tower is very high so we were greatly relieved that we could ascend by a fast and efficient lift. You get splendid views of the other towers and churches from the top.

It is not very large museum with little artefacts. It has some very interesting displays explaining the story of the Venitians and the day to day city life. The problem is that most of it is in Italian, so we hardly understood anything. It is...More

Good prospective of the old city from the air. Close up view of bells cast in the late 1600’s. It’s nice to see the ancient churches from above to admire some of the slate roofs.

I ordinarily like to climb hundreds of rickety wooden steps to get to the top of any given tower in Italy, but the steps were closed the day we visited, forcing us to take the elevator...spectacular views of the city and surrounding countryside. The big...More
