Pretty lakeside town
Jun 2019 • Friends
Most of Sarnico Is a modern, small Italian town with not much to interest the visitor. Easily-reachable by road or ferry, no idea about bus connections. The train runs to nearby Iseo.

Logically enough the best part is along the lake, as this is where Lake Iseo ends, and there is a wide path ideal for strolling and taking in the view.

The part near the centre has bars & restaurants, these thin out the further you walk.

Beautiful place to visit
Aug 2017 • Couples
We caught the ferry from Iseo to Sarnico which is a really beautiful ride. Sarnico is one of Lake Iseo' s most beautiful lakeside towns. It has nice shops to wander around away from the lake and a long promenade to enjoy the views. We also enjoyed crossing the bridge and visiting the market and the park.

Charming village on the lake
Jun 2017
Nice old town, easy to spend a morning or afternoon in this charming village. I happened upon market day by accident on Thursday morning - one of my favorite things to do. Nice walk along the water, there is a nice walkway for pedestrians or bike riding.

Great day trip from Bergamo
May 2017 • Couples
Lovely town at the southern end of Lake Iseo, less than 1 hour away from Bergamo by bus. Regular hourly(ish) service from the bus station at Bergamo. Get off at the municipal building roundabout where you also get the bus back from. Walk down to the lake. Lovely walks on both sides. We crossed the bridge into Paratico and walked the lakeside along the old railway line. Lovely lunch and wine in the sun at the cafe in the old station building watching the ducks and cormorants.

Old Worldy - Classy - Narrow Streets - Expensive Shops!
Jul 2016 • Couples
As we crossed the bridge walking into Sarnico the rain came on but it didn't dampen our spirits. This is a lovely little town and we enjoyed walking around exploring the place, stopping for a coffee along the way. The rain didn't last long and the sun came out. If you've never been to this area before, please visit. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Nice place to hang out for a couple of hours. Take pics, have a snack m, some great Italian ice cream. The bridge is perfect for taking pictures and bring some break to feed the swans.

Wonderful surprise
May 2015
Excellent day I passed over there. Wonderful surprise, since it was not in my schedule to go there... Peaceful place, full of life. The best gelatto I have ever had is there, Gelateria San Marco! Cheers!

Definitely a great location when visiting Lake Iseo
Jul 2014 • Family
We were staying in Clusane which is absolutely dead at night even in July. The restaurants , boardwalk and lovely lake vistas make Sarnico the place to go at night. Restaurants are abundant. Even a very friendly playground for tots. It's the place!

Lovely & beautiful place!!!

Very easy to get to from Bergamo bus station , just buy your ticket at the booth in the glass fronted building ( around 6 Euro's for return tickets ) & go to stand 7 , check with bus driver it goes to Sarnico if it doesn't say it on the front as one bus goes to a further village ) then in Sarnico get off at the Municipal building ( there are toliets at the back of the building in the car park )

Then head off to the left & keep going & you will come to the beautiful lake!

Spent 2 afternoons here as the first time my camera battery died on me before I could take any photo's so just HAD to go back again .. Had a lovely stroll in the sunshine & had lunch by the river quite reasonably priced ( forgotten name of restaurant but choose one which displays its prices as that is usually a good sign - I had a lovely pizza , bottle of water & small carafe of wine for around 13 Euros :-)

Shops weren't up to much in my opinion but you go there for an easy to get to lake for a peaceful and relaxing day but WARNING get to Bergamo bus station BEFORE 11am as around 11.30am SWARMS of secondary school children SUDDENLY DESCEND and swamp the bus stop and it is even difficult to get on as like typical teenagers they push and shove you out of the way to get on first so be prepared or travel earlier or later in the day , last bus back around 6.30pm ( look on the stop you got off at which is the stop you return from ) so don't miss the last bus back to Bergamo ( and make sure it says Bergamo on the front )
