Santa Margherita is a beautiful port city and a nice walk/run to Portofino. It was not crowded and had many nice restaurants and bars along the waterfront.

This is the place to. Indeed SML can easily be reached by train from Genova, and invites you to enjoy one of its cafes or stroll around the shops, both for sure. Plan enough time, so you can also visit Portofino. Despite its fame, there...More

A beautiful seaside resort on the Italian Riviera. The residents we encountered were all extremely friendly and even though we were visitors, we were never made to feel as such. Although it is a small town, there is much to do, what with walks through...More

We had a car and found that very easy but spoke to people who used the train and they loved it? If you have the time then suggest train as you get to see more and no worries of parking?!

We went on honeymoon it's very traditional and quieter which is why we loved it. I would chose more city or coastal
