During my recent 7 day painting holiday to Rapallo I took my small group of leisure painters to paint here. What a little gem of a painting location it is. It was a breathtaking artistic experience for my art group with so many possible views to paint. Only took 5 minutes to get there from Rapallo. What a great days... More

Less than15 minutes walk from Rapallo anda couple of lovely public beaches. The private beaches are cheaper than in Rapallo and a very quaint but very small town.

Our apartment was located about 200 metres from the beach, which runs parallel with the extremely busy main coastal railway line with all its attendant noise! In order to reach the beach you had to go under the railway arches which housed 4 massive industrial-sized rubbish bins that served all the local residents and stank. You then had to cross... More

I ended up here during a stopover in Rapallo. Strolling around i followed the sign toward santa margherita ligure and i stopped in this small village for an aperitivo by the beach. Place is small but very charming. I Frank an aperitif in the bar "ultima spiaggia" cheap and good value. Nice owner, very kind, while sitting outside cute sparrows... More

There are several rocky beaches and little cafes here and many places for swimming. It is a fine location to spend a day, if you are staying in this area. It definitely has a local vibe -- no Americans -- if that is important to you. It was very hot when we were there and quite busy with Italian visitors.... More

We walk from Rapallo to this litte beach when we feel having a nice quiet time on the beach. It is simply a lovelly litte spot, no need to say more.

Beautiful bay but not a great beach, although sitting on the rocks watching the world go by is an easy and enjoyable way to while away the hours! An easy walk from Rapallo which can be, at times, it's very trafficy, as with this whole area. The path continues around the headland and then back onto the road : a mixed... More

On our first afternoon staying in Rapallo we took the 10 minute walk from the Excelsior Palace. We found an ordinary village around a cove, groups of cheerful children playing, locals bathing from the rocky shore and a small, pebbly beach with sun beds being hired out. A different scene from Rapallo. Among the small cafes we found "La Nave",... More

I walked here along the coast from Rapallo. On the way back I went over the top of the hill on a very steep path (up and down) lined with high walls. Not recommended on a hot day. The path emerges by Hannibal Bridge in Rapallo.
