Simply a Must if you are in Genoa
Jul 2019
This sweet shop must be one of the best and oldest in the world ,having been owned by the same family since 1780 .The interior of the shop is amazing with beautiful old cabinets and painted ceiling, and the sweets ,are delicious, just the best ,yes they are expensive as they are hand made ,but no more expensive than hand made sweets and chocolates are anywhere else in the world and certainly not as expensive as some chocolate shops I know in London,Paris and New York, if you love good food go ,as you will be charmed by the shop and treat yourself to a few amazing fruits ,jellies and chocolates to enjoy on your trip and may be a box to take home .5 mins Max if that ,walk from the Aquarium on the port and near to the Cattedrale di San Lorenzo

Wonderful candy store
Apr 2019 • Couples
This candy store has been in business since 1780 and still makes all of their candy by hand in their own factory. They have an amazing assortment of chocolates and other confections to tempt anyone who loves sweets. It is little wonder that they have been in business for so long.

Oldest CONFECTIONER’S shop in Italy; lovely and historic.

I walked by Antica Confetteria Romanengo twice, both times the storefront windows drawing me like a magnet to stop and stare like a small child. I'm not a huge fan of sweets but on the third pass I just had to go on into L' Antica Confetteria Romanengo and browse. The place is from 1790 and has an irresistible allure to someone like me who loves historic architecture. In fact, L' Antica Confetteria Romanengo was such a charming locale full of a sort of nostalgic romance not to mention all sorts of hand-made original sweets that I was very glad to have gone in. The prices are very expensive and I only purchased a few items including marron glacee. (I could have easily spent a couple of hundred dollars on confectionery gifts for my family & friends.) I didn't pay any attention to the service because I was just too busy staring at all the goodies.
If you're in the area, I recommend you visit L'Antica Confetteria Romanengo just to browse.

Check out the fondants
Jul 2015 • Solo
Not the cheapest of sweet shops nor necessarily the most friendly but the fondants and jubes are delicious and the gift wrapping a treat to watch,
