I was walking up and down in Rimini and I accidentally found the covered market. Architecture is unimportant, it is industrial box: roof and walls. Inside, you can find fine vegetables, milk products, meat and fresh fruit. Prices are lower than in some shops. You can choose what you want and talk with sellers.

It takes place wednesday and saturday morning all year round. Many other cities (e.g. Bologna) have been hosting for many years now dealers whose origin is not italian (I mean that it is apparent they come from India, China, and African countries). By contrast, in this market you still find local dealers, many of them from the Rimini's area. As a consequence, contracting in italian at the boots and, for the experts, listening to (and understanding) some very colourful expressions in the local dialect or in italian with the local accent is the added value to your shopping (cloths, underwear, towels, leather goods, and many other items, including shoes, plants, food, etc. of good quality, with prices starting from 5 euros or less). You cannot miss a visit to this place while you are in Rimini. Just get away from the crowded beach in the Marina Centro district, stop roasting your back on the sand. Wander for an hour or so through the local version of the Istanbul's Gran Bazaar. Do it around eleven-noon and, when you are thirsty, stop for a refreshing beverage (cappuccino, coke or a drink served with a wonderful selection of snacks) at the cool (old fashion) Caffè Cavour in the square with the same name. Useful hint: do not attempt to park your car too close to the market. Use one of the several public parking places: the turnover is rather frequent as people come and go.
