Very much enjoyed our visit. Focussed on local history, it also has noted art works by regional painters as well as a pieta by Bellini. For an additional modest fee (I remember 1 Euro), you can visit the Roman ruins next door of a doctor's...More

I was deeply impressed, most "city museums" have pleasantly eclectic collections, but this one has some real gems. The joint archeological site "Domus del chirurgo" is really stellar, and most of the collections are clearly labeled in English as well as Italian. An excellent bargain...More

The archaeological section is very well done, and present interesting objects. Paintings are of diverse qualities, with masterpieces like the Bellini, and Guerchin. A unique piece of quattrocento fabric, for costume lovers. A place to go.

The museum and the nearby Surgeon's house (entrance to both on a single ticket) provide an interesting view of ancient Rimini. The discovery of the Surgeon's house with it's mosaics and the artifacts it revealed provided a very interesting visit.

Make sure you visit the ruins across the road-the surgeons home as the museum houses all the items that were discovered there.
