Though the Lonely Planet guide for Italy published last year in 2016 indicated that this attraction was free, today it is 1€ to see a very small old church with some magnificent mosaics on the ceiling. It was empty when I came to see it and if you're uncertain about visiting the other sites in Ravenna, this is an inexpensive... More

See same for Battistero Neonianio -these are all UNESCO heritage sites and rightly so. All 5 and the main museums are all worth visiting.

I too liked this baptistry , even though it is quite small. It's a quick in and out. You'll spend as much time trying to find it, because it's behind the normal street exposures. I too liked this because of the Arian connection, which is subtle yet different. This was Christianity before the emphasis on death, crucifixion, and suffering! I... More

Impressive golden ceiling in a small room. 1 Euro admission fee from the adjacent ticket machine. Quick pit stop on the sightseeing route.

Another mosaic masterpiece testimony of early ages high level skills for this type of art. It is good that we still have those examples in our days! Must to visit if you are in Ravenna

Very interesting place, one of the not so many examples of Arian (as in early Christian branch) art; I don't think there are many similar places, in Italy or elsewhere. Beautiful, detailed scenes depicted in mosaics. Entrance is free. Close to other interesting, mosaic-adorned sites.

I think it's not in top ten and not a must see, but this place is actually very interesting for history and religion lovers 'cause arianism was/is part of christianity that's declared as heresis and doesn't exist notable any more, but in the 4th and 5th century was much spread in christian world. The access is free of charge and... More

It's free. Just 5 minutes on foot from the station. Beautiful pattern on the ceiling inside. 駅から約5分で小さな祠です。天井内側の絵は荘厳ですが親しみも持てます。無料ですし、穏やかな気分になれます。一度是非。

Try to visit just before it closes when you might have the place to yourselves and will be better able to see the details of the mosaics under the electric light.
