It is nice monument, but the plaza around is more interesting than this monument by itself. Unfortunately the plaza around is not exactly safe for children. There could be some weird people around (drunk) and there are lots of glass fragments on the ground.

This monument is in front of Palazzo della Pilotta, the bigest historical building in the city. As the city is oriented to Verdi, it's good to have his monument. There are places to sit or to lie there.

This impressive monument is dedicated to one of the greatest composer Giuseppe Verdi and stands in front of Palazzo della Pilotta in the square of peace - Piazzale della Pace.

An interesting slab of sculpture to liven up a fairly blank wall and square, but you aren;t going to stop and stare.

Even Verdi was not born in PArma, just in a little village near the city, it is a very nice monument for his memery.
