It's so disappointing to go to the Dukes' Palace and find out that it is occupied by the Carabinieri and that, therefore, it cannot be visited! Move the carabinieri to the Grand Hotel but allow tourists to see this building...

Unfortunately today the Palazzo is the home of the carabineri, so you can't visit it. It is in a very nice surrounding, the park is beautiful.

This huge park was quiet & peaceful for picnic or a jog, but there were many homeless or refugees sleeping/camping out there. Another minor drawback was the picturesque palace building was not open to the public- it is used for government or business offices. There...More

lovely to have a walk around - you'll notice lots of ducks, shaded areas, and locals having lunch. good spot for a little break.

This "palace" is situated at the beginning of this lovely park. I wandered over to it but couldn't gain access (not sure if one can). But I came away awed that the person(s) who once dwelled here had quite an impressive yard (the park)!

The palace is located inside the Dukal park, 5 minutes walk from the Palazzo Pillota crossing the river. It was built in 16 th century for Ottavio Farnese. Inside is very beautiful from the pictures seen in the books, there is a famous "bird room"....More

In the morning you can go to the gate near the Palazzo and ring the bell. You can get a tour (no guide) in the Palazzo.

Just a really nice relaxing walk and an interesting place to visit and see. Close to other sites and worth the travel.
