This church does not look like much from the outside but the inside is amazing! Free admission if you don't require guidance. All info in Italian unless you pay for audio guide.

Located next to the Baptistery, this is a great example of Romanesque architecture, it is dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, this really is a must visit whilst in Parma, take your time and absorb the surroundings

In my humble opinion, the frescoes are second only to those in the Sistine Chapel, and that's just for starters. The duomo is just a seamless collection of beauty and grandeur. Don't miss the crypt but be quiet as it's reserved for prayer.

Once at Parma one cannot miss the cattedrale next to the Baptistry. The monument is an authentic example of Romanesque architecture from Lombardia
