Great if you have interest or background in astronomy, physics or cameras. Involves some climbing (but there's a nice view & breeze from the top). You can find the entrance to the left of where you buy tickets for the Museo di Palazzo Poggi, and if you're very nice, maybe the person working at the Poggi will tell you when... More

A guided tour after this interesting museum is well worth an hour of your time. It takes you on a fascinating journey through the history of astronomy (with an Italian flavour) and there are some interesting historic telescopes on display. The tour ends at the top of the observatory tower with spectacular views... and it is free!
