Although everyone speaks of the walk to San Luca (which is beautiful in it's own right!), the views of Bologna from San Michele in Bosco are far, far better. The walk is much shorter and the reward reached far quicker. The church itself is not...More

It's well worth the effort of walking up the hill to see this church as you get a better feel for its location than going by bus. The church itself is quite small but in many respects it is the smaller churches, richly decorated, which...More

This church is on a small hill just outisde the city wall. I went there early in the morning to see the sun rise over the city. It's a beautiful view from up there and it's reasonable easy to get to.

A pleasant walk up the hill is rewarded by a stunning view over Bologna. We did not visit the church, but spent a very enjoyable 20 minutes scanning the city and taking pictures.

Take an easy walk in fresh air through a lush garden park to the top of a hill where Church of Saint Michael in Bosco is located. The church has beautiful interior and interesting 2-levels inside design. The view of the city with its red-roofed...More

don't go through the old wooden door to the right of the altar otherwise you will find yourself in the adjoining hospital - a bit of an 'Alice in Wonderland' moment for us!
