We did this tour several days ago and are still grinning from ear to ear from the amazing day we had! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, professional, passionate about Italian food, and kept us laughing the whole day. Everyone was also really great with our son, who got to play soccer in a vineyard, help salt some prosciutto, and pick cherries from a tree next to our table while we enjoyed a divine lunch and wine tasting. We can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back for more!

This tour was incredibly enjoyable, fascinating, and educational. How often can you learn about something new, that you will remember every time you shop for Italian food, and have a beautiful and enjoyable day with interesting people. Our tour guide, Arianna, was smart, beautiful, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The other people on the tour, from Norway, were just as much fun. We developed an appreciation for Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, prosciutto and balsamic vinegar, met some wonderful Italian people, saw beautiful countryside, tasted excellent wine and had a fantastic meal overlooking a valley at the end of the day. It may be the most memorable tour I have ever taken in years of travel. I recommend it most highly. It was actually in May, 2019, but that date was not one of the options I could chose in this review.

This was a really wonderful day and so well done! My husband and I have traveled to many countries and taken many tours. This was one of the very, very best. Interesting and fun. Alessandro is just great! People often say that they talk for years after about a particular day they had while traveling. For us, this was one of those days. We have recalled it fondly and talked about it many times since this trip to Italy in 2013. A memorable experience!

What a wonderful time we had on our Bologna Food Experience! It was only 2 years ago but seems lifetimes now with the sadness of the World today. We have the memories to keep us going until we can return to our beloved Italy and take another Food Experience trip with Italian Days Food Experience. We were picked up promptly in a Mercedes Sprinter along with another small group of people from all over the World. We became fast friends regardless of language barriers. First stop: we visited the farm where the cows that make the milk that makes the parmesan reggiano. The cows were lovely. Free to roam and very happy. Happy cows make delicious Parmesan. The family that owns the farm were very nice and informative. They gave us a wonderful snack of cheese, bread and wine--that was only breakfast! Onto Modena and to learn about "real" balsamic vinegar, not that stuff they try to pass off as balsamic in the USA. We learned that balsamic vinegar is giving as a dowry to the Groom's family and the longer it is aged, the more valuable it is. More food and more wine from the family who owns and operates one of many balsamic wineries in Modena. I still order from this family in Modena. I can no longer stand the sour, bitter "fake" balsamic that is sold at supermarkets in the U.S. Then we went for lunch at Casa Selena (to call it "lunch" is misleading--it was a feast). More wine, more pasta, oh. my. God. Dessert included! The Italian Days Food Experiences is worth every penny. Personally I don't know how they can make any money on these tours since there is lots of food, wine and transportation. Cannot wait for the day that Covid ends and we are free to travel the Earth. Italy will be the first stop, the Italian Days Food Experience will be on the agenda for sure! ---->PS this is a review of our trip in 2018-obviously no one is able to travel to Italy now.
