This deli offers a fine array of the best on offer in Roma, at very reasonable prices, and with plenty of spots to secrete oneself in the sunshine and enjoy the flavours at their natural temperature and in the right ambience. Importantly, staff in Volpetti...More

We had one of the most lovely experiences at Volpetti. The server was super friendly and helped us translate the menu (which at lunch is only in Italian, while dinner has both English and Italian). The entire menu changes from day to day. You can...More

It was fun visiting and buying a few things: Gorgonzola, chèvre, crottin. I enjoyed the slightly crazy Italian ticket/server/cashier system. The produce was good quality but honestly it's at least twice as expensive as it should be. Good for a one-off visit, no more.

They've got what you want, its just a matter of deciding how many euros you want to part with. My wife and I bought some bread, cheese, and prosciutto after deliberating on what we wanted. Its pretty tight in there so you may have to...More

This is a beautiful little shop and is a feast for the eyes. I could have stayed for hours just to look at all the products. Don't overlook this neighborhood (Testaccio) while in Rome. Try the truffle cheese and aged vinegars.

Just across the road from Rome's own 2000+ year old Piramid is Volpetti, one of Rome's finest delicatessens. Volpetti stands on Via Marmorata, which is the street that borders the posh Aventino area, and the most 'Roman' of Rome's neighbourhoods, Testaccio. Ironically, that just about...More
