Located at the top of the Spanish steps sits this beautiful structure. That is actually one of five ancient roman obelisks, (a copy/imitation of Egyptian ones). The inscription is the same as the Flaminio Obelisk (Egyptian) in Piazza de Popolo. There is so much to...More

This obelisk stands in the area, the piazza, in front of the Trinita dei Monti, just above the Spanish Steps. It is an imposing monument, but you would not really go out of your way to just see that. You would really go there to...More

My kids said it was not worth their time to climb the steps for a picture, so we just admired it from the base of the stairs.

This obelisk is situated at the top of the Spanish stairs and is a copy, though smaller, of the Flaminio obelisk locate at Piazza del Popolo. It was erected in the late 1700's.

This is a lovely obelisk, located at the top of the Spanish stairs, just next to the church. The Egyptian-looking obelisk is actually a rather recent onea nd dates back to the early 18th century.
