About
My historians are all European and are mostly Irish since I myself am from Dublin the Capital of Europe. We have a flare for dealing with kids and are known to be family styled, indeed we are natural storytellers using history as our subject. I run a Free Pantheon Tour in Rome and I invented the Golf Cart tour back in 2005 which has really become a keen must do driving tour and its Eco Active too. Small groups, skipping lines and working with Europeans who speak excellent English is our mark on the cities we love and work in. Our Cultural Lectures are full of fun wit and understanding. My blogs and Fbook make for good reading, I dont just update for the sake of it, I take my social media serious so do look at that too and watch out for more free tours with Angel Tours. Sean T

My husband & I booked Angel tours after hearing a review on a radio travel show. We were delighted that the tours were professional and excellent quality.
The 1st tour we booked was a private tour of the Vatican. I highly recommend this tour. Simply because within this tour the average wait to visit the Vatican can be 45 minutes and longer with very large crowds. Thankfully we had booked with Angel tours so none of that. No queue, fast, easy entry - we really felt like VIPs from the start of tour right to the end. Our guide made us feel at easy and explained the history, art and beautiful building in a delightful way.
The 2nd tour we booked was the Colosseum semi tour. This tour was booked semi tour but we ended up being the only party on the tour. VIPs again for a day.
This was a wonderful tour of Ancient Rome. We started with the Colossem and then across the way to Palatine Hill. This beautiful and well preserved Roman ruins with plenty of scenic viewpoints to take pictures of the city. You might think you don’t need a tour guide as there are plenty of signs but you absolutely do need a guide. Our guide brought the buildings back to life by explaining the history, the use, structure and much more. I would highly recommend this tour with Angel tours without a guide you are just going for a stroll in any park.

We had a super tour of Ancient Rome with Ben from Angel tours. We started at the Victor Emmanuel II monument and continued along through the Imperial Forum area, up to the Capitoline Hill and finished at the Circus Maximus. We had a multitude of stops along the way which gave Ben the opportunity to display his huge depth of knowledge of Ancient Rome, from the very small places that most people would never notice, up to, of course, the major monuments. Ben imparted this myriad of information in a very relaxed way which immersed us in the history while making it feel more like we were listening to a series of riveting stories. Finishing with the Circus Maximus meant that we ended on a high as we pictured the charioteers of old racing against each other, Ben Hur style, in front of vast crowds in the huge arena. We would encourage anyone visiting Rome to book this tour with Ben and Angel tours.

We had a Heart of the City tour with our guide Flavio. Walking through the city center he explained the main history attached to the sites. We had 2 children with us, and he included them, asking questions and listening to them. I would highly recommend this tour as without this guide, we would have just been wandering around, unsure of where exactly to go, and not knowing what we were looking at, or the story behind the sites. The tour is interesting but not boring, with plenty to see and great recommendations for food and gelato on the way! If you are looking to come to the city center, see the main sites with a great guide, book this one!

My wife and I had what you can call a more personal experience with Italy, as Sean was part of our group and was relaying us constant information and instruction as to what to see and where to go during our stay.
Most of our time was in Florence and we had a good fortune visiting Ufizzi and Academia museums. We were assigned Michele and Mila as guides, since we were a large group of people we had to be split into two groups. I had Mila for the city walking tour, and we enjoyed the sunny day going through the old parts of the city, and getting good pointers for the good spots in the city. With Michele, however, I had the two best tours in Ufizzi and Academia. Personally, I was delighted that he had so much information to pass on to us, never becoming boring. I was especially intrigued by his tour of the Academia, as it contained Michelangelo's art and there were so many interesting things that I expected to hear - and I wasn't disappointed.
Can't recommend Sean enough! He knows how to show you Italy!

5 star tours presented by 5 star guides. Made our trip so memorable. Many thanks to Sahar - golf cart tour, Assunta - Vatican tour and Margarita for our Colosseum ,Palatine Hill and Roman Forum tour. Super friendly and a wealth of knowledge. Each tour we did with Angel tours was fantastic. First day the golf cart tour with Sahar was superb. Great to see so much of the city and to enjoy the best coffee ever tasted in a coffee house opened since 1900. Gave us the chance to pick out a few places we wanted to see more of in our free time. Great chats as we travelled around Rome. Second day we had Assunta for our Vatican tour. Again a fantastic tour was had. Assunta is a powerhouse of information and made sure we didn't pass any of the important sites. She answered any questions we had about various artifacts. Her relaxed personality gave us a memorable visit and she made sure we took time to savor every moment. On our final day we met Margarita who was our guide to the Colosseum. Again she gave us flawless account and presented in detail a picture of what life was like during construction and afterwards. She was able to guide us to all the perfect places for viewing and photo opportunities. The 3 guides gave 110% and presented each tour to perfection. Advice for any would be travellers would be to avail of the off peak quieter times to allow yourself to enjoy every second of these tours . You won't be disappointed. At no stage had we to queue as tickets / skip the queue all had been purchased. Yes we could have done the DIY entry and look around ourselves but would have had to queue , ,would have missed half of it and wouldn't have fully understood what life was like then. Wholeheartedly 100% recommend a tour with Angel tours from our visit. Angela was also great to deal with sending meeting points and itinaries. All the guides made contact the day before each tour by what's app and introduced themselves and confirmed the meeting points. Now I just need to see where else Angel tours offer guided tours so we can book our next city break. Worth every cent .

We went 2 for 2 with Angel Tours. First we did the golf cart tour around Rome. Sahar was our guide and she brought great energy, knowledge and flexibility to our tour around Rome. It was so much fun and a great way to see so many of Rome’s amazing sights/squares in a short amount of time.
The other tour we enjoyed was the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s. Our guide, Valeria, was so kind and did a great job gauging our interest and provided us with just the right amount of information & fun tidbits to keep the tour moving along at a good pace. This is especially so for my teenage children - she kept them engaged by asking them questions. Valeria was so knowledgeable and passionate about everything she showed us. Thanks to her we all walked away with a great appreciation of the Roman culture and the arts. Highly recommend both these tours!

We arrived in Rome an Wednesday am and took this tour in the afternoon
It allowed us a great overview of Rome visiting most of the city in approximately 4 hours which allowed us great orientation and general historical information of the city.
Hadi our guide was both informative and friendly while allowing us as much time as possible at different sites .
Sean also via WhatsApp gave excellent recommendations and information on acces to sites and restaurant recommendations.
Both my Girls age 9 and 16 really enjoyed the tour and it allowed us decide which hotspots we really wanted to visit.
This is a tour allows you feel part of the city and was one of the highlights of our visit to the beautiful eternal city that is Rome .

Yes , the Golf Cart Tour is one of the best Tours Angel Tours offer and always the kids love this experience , It is so exciting that you and your family liked and enjoyed your time in Rome and get the chance to know more about the historical information of the city .

If you have any doubts - don’t hesitate. The best and most fun way to cover a lot of ground on a hot Roman day. Whizz past the crowds with a warm breeze in your hair and stop to take in all the sights. The guides are all genuine and friendly as well as being incredibly knowledgeable. I have taken this tour with Angel tours twice now and my only regret is that they are already sold out for my return dates in 2023. The owners are also the nicest people and when I had an issue with the dates I booked (time zone difference) they were incredibly accommodating and rebooked at no charge even though thei guide had waited for me the day prior. Just really good people. I would do this tour over and over again and never get enough of seeing different parts of Rome in all its glory.

Incredible. Our experience during our tour of the Colosseum is worthy of 5 stars. Our tour guide, Flavio, is a proud Roman who was personable and relatable. We learned so much and enjoyed sharing stories from our own country's history, comparing and contrasting. Rapport was built straight away, and Flavio was professional and could adapt the tour to suit our age demograph as we established we are similar in age early on. By the end, it felt like Flavio was a friend we just shared an amazing historical Roman experience with. Flavio went over and beyond, recommending cuisine and further places to visit on our trip. We could not recommend Flavio, Sean, and Angel Tours enough. Many thanks to Flavio and the team wishing you every success. M & O

We did the tour of Barcelona. This involved seeing the sights of the Old City and then we viewed some of Gaudis buildings...and finally the Sagrada Familia. Our guide was called Yannis and he was really great. He was very knowledgeable about all parts of the tour and gave us a great insight into the city. In particular when he spoke about the Sagrada Familia, it was amazing to hear the history involved. Would definitely recommend this tour 👌

I agree with previous answer. Modesty is best policy. I had capris, partner long pants. Women do not need head covering (maybe if you are meeting the pope, lol). Great tour with Angel Tours!

Guys I do like tripadivisor but it's really best to email us directly with questions, now a days we get enquiries on w app, fbook, text, Skype, tripadivisor and it all gets out of hand, we even get people looking for work using their initial contact through fbook. It sounds as if Sean at Angel Tours would like you to e-mail directly. They are very responsive and helpful. I totally enjoyed Angel Tours Rome in 2012 and their Florence Tour in 2014. I completely recommend them! Have a wonderful time on your trip. You'll love Italy!
