Maybe the best pub you can find in Rome if you're a craft beer lover. They have a pretty big list to choose from (at least 3 or 4 draft IPA sortiments for example), which is quite uncommon in this city.

Had a lovely few hours relaxing and trying lots of cocktails in this lovely ‘proper pub’. Sonia the owner made us feel very welcome. Great service, amazing atmosphere and good prices. Would high recommend

As ever, Giovanni was a superb host during our most recent visit to support Scotland’s Six Nations rugby match. Amongst this year’s observations, we noted:
- he continues to be entertaining and ensure everyone else feels entertained;
- he remains personable and loyal (is it already 30 years at Botticella?)
- he maintains immense knowledge - about sports, about drink, about the area. {When asked for his recommendation of a wine that would suit our palate, we relied upon his choice and it was truly delicious};
- he continues to innovate with more memorabilia, more amenities (eg. phone chargers, larger sports TV screen) and even more drink options from which to choose;
- although Botticella (indeed, Via di Tor Millina) provides a micro community hub, its appeal relies on mutual respect and discernment between patrons, owner and neighbours. On the one hand, Giovanni is obliged to limit the number of punters inside (such are current covid rules), so he has to apply discretion. On the other hand, when a group of young-uns exhibits lapses in social behaviour, he’s entitled to ask them to vacate (to make way for more discerning clientele);
- in general, the atmosphere still has a helluva buzz. {We returned twice during our long weekend visit, each occasion building on the last.}
This is a class and authentic establishment.
Use it, don’t abuse it, and you won’t lose it!!
Well done, Giovanni & Team

[ps. Very close to oodles of brilliant eating options - incl. highly-rated Quinto Gelateria)

Great place with super friendly service. The sports stuff is great and especially all the Steelers stuff. Fantastic selection of beers, and you can purchase an Italian Terrible towel there, which I thought was one of the best souvenirs. Its located in a cool area and the perfect place to hang for drink, or to watch a game.

This is our third trip to Rome and after finding this place on accident during our first trip, we make it a point to come back every time.
Located just down an ally from the center of Piazza Navona, lies a wonderful, hole in the wall, Steelers Backers Bar. This coming from a born and raised, die hard Browns.
We found this place 10 years ago on accident while traveling with our best friends, one of which is a die hard Steelers fan, so we had to stop. We met and spoke to the owner who is a Canadian who unfortunately became a Steelers fan, moved to Rome and opened a Steelers Backers bar in Rome.
We have revisited Rome two more times and made a point to come back here each time, sometimes multiple times each trip.
Even though it’s a Steelers backers bar and they only have one piece of Browns paraphernalia (ask to see it), it’s a nice piece of home in the heart of Rome.
The Tre Fontaine, a Roman Tripel Birra made by Roman monks, is one of my absolute favorite beers, which I have only been found here. Which is what brings this Browns fan back many times.
NOT a tourist trap, a must visit. Highly recommended.

Do you stay open late for the Steeler games? We’re going to be in town the 28th of October and would love to catch the game with other fans.

Yes absolutely!!! Peanuts are food!
Actually, Owner Giovanni will gladly guide you to some of the best restaurants in his neighborhood (that serve more than peanuts) that you likely would never have found had you walked around on your own ...
