The Torre del Grillo and the adjoining building, palazzo de Grillo get their name from it's owners a couple of centuries ago though the buildings are older.

The tower is a well preserved medieval brick building, with stone rectangular windows crowning brackets with griffins at the corners and an inscription “Ex Marchionne de Grillis”. The tower was built in the 12th century, but its name refers to the Grillo family who bought the tower in the 17th century.
