This attraction is a combo ticket. The park is free and lovely. The villa is beautiful and nicely restored. The Owl House is the true item that is worth the price of the ticket. Such a surprise in contrast to all the other palaces with crystal chandeliers.

Villa Torlonia consists of gardens and several buildings, including a Neoclassical villa (once owned by the Torlonia family, later used by Mussolini, then used by Allied Forces after they liberated Rome), a theater, and a unique art nouveau house (Casina delle Civette, the "Owl House"). The gardens contain lovely (and some colorful) palm trees, some pretty "ruins," walking paths and... More

We have a love of art nouveau (liberte in Italy )and had read that there was a house called the house of the owls Casina Delle Civette as well as the villa where Mussolini spent time here, plus some impressive Liberte buildings round the corner in Viale Regina Margherita and also in Via Dora. We were not disappointed the owl... More

We got lost finding our way back to our hotel and came across this wonder. A lovely park with several water fountains to refill our bottles. Wonderful stories and pieces of art. The building are wonderful, especially the Owl House" which will transport you to a delightful fairyland. We spent a number of hours here. There is a cafe on... More

I had a few hours to spare whilst in Rome and decided to visit the Villa Tollonia. I paid €7.50 for visiting both the Villa and the Casino Nobile, the museum that currently features a collection of paintings by Benvenuto Ferrazzi and other works on loan. There are 25 conditions for free entry such as blood donors, Parisian citizens (twinned city)... More

A great place to jog, have a picnic, or relax at the bar with a drink in your hand as you take shelter from the sweltering heat of the Roman sun at what was supposedly the summer getaway of the late fascist dictator Mussolini.

I love watching stained glass windows and when I learned about 'House of the Owls' in villa Torlonia, Rome I was wanting to see this famous house with beautiful stained glass collection. The villa formerly belonging to the Torlonia family was the residence of Prince Giovanni Torlonia until his death in 1938. I was looking at the house inside and... More

Beautiful Park to have a picnic, a walk alone or with the dog, run or just pass by. It has a theater inside and other buildings with roman architecture. A small lake too.
