Just up from the Parco Savello (the Orange Garden), which has its own stunning views, is the Keyhole in the door of The Knights of Malta Square which provides a perfectly framed picture of St Peters Basilica. Fantastic.

Don't miss the surprise of discovering a wonderful sight through a key hole. The surprise is refreshing due to its perfection. At the top of the hill you will find the building with the big green doors and probably people around or in line in...More

It is lovely to wander around the area of L'Aventino with it's shady squares and water fountains - it feels like you have escaped the City! Line up in front of the large green wooden doors of the Villa del Priorato dei Cabalieri di Malta...More

As part of a Italy Segway Tour, we stopped at this location to find a queue people, peeping through a keyhole. Intriguing :-) Had no idea of this little gem without the tour. Worth going of the the way to experience, but, also stop off...More

We visited in late 2014. I’m not sure where I found out about this when I was researching the trip, but I’m very glad that I did. The cost is only the bus or metro fare to get you near to the location. I won’t...More

I visited this spot four years ago and we were the only people up there. Now it is noisy and touristy. Sad but we all have to share I suppose. At least the view remained the same

On a quiet beautiful hill. When we got there there was a line but it was worth waiting for. The view is unexpected and gorgeous. Also the grounds on that hill are pretty. It is a little out of the way but we had a...More

When you see through this keyhole, you will find a perfect alignement of San Pietro Basilica. It is doable by day or by night. If you're around, it's definitely worth checking it and waiting in "a quick moving" line. If not, plan some other attractions...More

Hard to capture in a photo but the view through the keyhole with the naked eye is perfectly framed. Even if there is a line up it is worth the wait as the line moves pretty quickly. Also a handy (but overpriced) snack cart set...More

Once you are on the Aventin Hill, find gorgeous Giardino Degli Aranci - Orange Garden - with an amazing view. Then go a bit further and you will see a queue at the big door - this is it. Look through the keyhole and you...More

Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is
Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork
of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and
embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the
vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around
the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of
surprises like the clever little keyhole at the
Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find

Also unclear as to question.... It's probably MUCH too long a walk from Piazza Navona. It wouldn't be so far from Circo Massimo / Circus Maximus, though. Maybe you should consult a map. ;) Did you know that Google Maps can... More
