In 1997 we came across a technological innovation from the US that astonished us. We were so taken with it that we decided to export it to Italy, knowing what a great impact the idea could have here. This was the Segway, and that’s how Segway Roma came about.

We were the pioneers of Segway tours and Segway rentals, and the first to introduce this brilliant means of transport to Italy. 20 years on, we are now a leading company in Rome with a huge range of vehicles, and can organise tours for groups of any size.

You can hire a Segway for a set period to go off and explore Rome on your own, or choose one of our tours and let our expert guides show you around; either way, it will be a memorable experience.

I went to Villa Borghese with my boyfriend and we decided to have an alternative activity to explore the park, also because we did not have a lot of time that afternoon. The guy responsible for the rental, Ahmed, has been super helpful to explain how to drive it, since it was my first time. It was very fun and... More

Our 10 year old was able to ride a Segway so long a guide came to supervise. We had a great time touring Villa Borghese for 1 hour. Our guide Gabriel was passionate, a lot of fun and took good care of us. Thanks for the experience.

We were so excited to find that we could experience a Segway tour even though our daughter is only 10! We were able to practice in The Piazza del Popolo for about 15 minutes in order to get the hang of it. We toured the Villa Borghese & parts of the tour were on busy roads. The guide actually pulled... More

Really nice guys and the hour tour is safe and good fun. They are easy to ride and we went as a family of three (11 year old). He then did 30 mins in the square the following day. Well done guys and all the best! Ps. This is far better than a cycling tour or walking tour. Much more... More

My husband and I booked segways at Villa Borghese for an hour. We were welcomed very nicely by Elias(?), who taught me how to ride the segway, which was easier than I thought it would be. We succeeded to see the whole park, take pictures and enjoy the ride.

My teenage son and I did a tour with Segway Roma. Was just the two of us plus one other tourist and a guide. The guide was very knowledgeable. A segway is a great way to soak up the essence of Rome as well as hit a few of the sights along the way. Beats just walking or taking taxis... More

We rented 3 segways and had a great time at Villa Borghese Park! The guys of the rental were really easy-going, showing you how to ride the segway very calm and clear. Make sure you take the 1 hour rent... you'll need it to see the whole park!

What can i say?. This was the best way to travel in Rome. It was excellent. We pre booked it from london online and they were ready and waiting for us in Rome. Our instructor was excellent and we covered so much of Rome in 3 hours. Only my husband and I were in the tour so was very private... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina.
