When in Rome visit Trastevere .. it’s so relaxed. Enjoy the casual dining and drinks. And plead visit Santa Maria In Trastevere / the most beautiful church you’ll find anywhere.

A lovely church located in a small piazza in a lovely area! Despite it being one of the largest structures in the Trastevere area, like it's 'lived in' surroundings, there's something quaint about this church. From the outside, just looking at its mixture of styles...More

Loved the quietness of this basilica and of the entire area across the river. It's completely different from the "known" part. If you like it quiet and romantic, go across the river.

This basilica is located across the river from the main city center in Rome in a less busy area not too far from the Vatican. Our plan for the day was to start here and walk back towards Piazza Venizia seeing the sights along the...More

Rome is laced with one beautiful church after another. Unfair to call one better than the other... Each with it's own distinct stamp. Definitely worth a visit

I wish I had something more interesting to say about it. But so close to st. Peter cathedral all other churches look a bit dull

Truely amazing ceiling and the paintings behind the alter are stunning. This church is well worth a visit. The piazza is very attractive and the area has a very nice feel. Avoid going to Sabitini’s directly opposite, as that is place a shocking rip off.

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
