This doesn't pop up on any of the must see sight lists, but we walked in as we were wandering around and found the church to be beautiful. Lovely statues, alcoves and incredible ceiling paintings. A nice surprise on a beautiful Sunday afternoon

Very beautiful and impressive. The yellow marble stair is a particularly interesting piece of craftsmanship.

Walking down the street of shops on last day and happened to look inside. WOW! Not what we expected, amazing, beautiful Basilica. Free entry. We were stunned by all the worship places in Rome, all elaborately decorated.

Absolutely stunning inside! I was deeply impressed by the artwork and the marble. We only stumbled across it on our way to find a market for snacks but I'm so glad we did!
