Visited it a few times during our trip. It's always crowded, but you can make your way thru it. Unfortunately, lots of street vendors adds to the congestion and they are pests, but no problem with any crime. We thought it was best at night

No picture truly does justice to this beautiful monument/fountain. Seeing it in the flesh is a jaw dropping moment. Quiet crowded so you have to pick your photo opportunities carefully. Don't forget to throw a coin over your shoulder into the water!

Nice location. Read your Rome guide. Interesting piece of art including the competition of artist with Borromini. More to know than dan brown tells us.

One of the 'must see' locations in Rome. As others have said here it does get very crowded, with lots of guided tours. We found that visiting at dusk as the lights come on was a great time to be there.

Always packed with tourists, a truly wonderful sight to behold. Careful with your belongings though. A lot of gypsies victimizes tourists here who are usually distracted with taking their photos or throwing coins into the fountain.

Beautiful place to visit, surrounded by little restaurants and bars, fairly priced. Can imagine it gets very very busy in summer as I visited in Jan and was still quite busy. Well worth the short walk. Well it was for me as my partner proposed here!!!! ❤️️

Extremely busy at all times - best to go early morning - well worth a visit and to make a wish of throwing a coin in it.

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
