My wife and I set out from our apartment/airbnb (between the coliseum and the Roman Forum) around 7pm to find the Trevi Fountain. Not going to lie, it was a little creepy trying to find the place through the narrow side streets so late at night. We got a little lost because the roads in Roma (in that area at... More

Just happened to stumble across this without realising were we were walking. Its hidden amongst the little cobbled streets of Rome, and it is breathtaking. Absolutely beautiful - the little church next to it is worth a visit also.

As a part of a tour we concluded with the Trevi fountain, and what a conclusion it was! It's is the kind of place that pictures do little justice. Though I would beleive always busy is an impressive site to see whilst visiting Rome. At its best when the sun is down You can then enjoy a meal or drink... More

It's basically a super fancy and old water spigot but it's pretty kewl and lots of people like to hang out there.

One of the most breathtaking things I have ever seen. You walk down little narrow cobble streets n it opens up to see this amazing fountain-statue. Everyone smiles, everyone is happy, all different people from different places, different languages but everyone communicates via smiles n looks in amazement. You have to see it!!

Before you get all dewy eyed and inspired taking in the fantastic fountain, check out the lowlife that will be taking you in, this is not a place to relax, if a pickpocket isn't sizing you up some local photographer will pounce, just go into automatic mode, hand up and say "No" Go there at night when crowds are at... This is a state of the art Fountain and is a major visitor attraction in Rome. There are also many gelaterias around serving excellent ice cream

Absolutely loved the fountain. Absolutely stunning and a must for anyone visiting Rome! Can be hard to get near to throw a coin in though. Recommend seeing the fountain both during the day and at night!!

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
