Best Way To Visit the Sistine Chapel

Our guide was wonderful. We went early to the Sistine Chapel and felt as though we had the place to ourselves!

Such a fantastic tour! We saw the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill and Colosseum (amphitheatre). Our tour guide, Dario, was really awesome and had such a great character. Dario also had this great book that he would refer to during the tour. It showed how certain places would have looked thousands of years ago compared to how it looks now.... More

My husband and I took the Coliseum underground tour and a Pasta making class in Rome and were totally impressed by the professionalism and passion the guides had for their work. Our tour guides were amazing! Camilla and Ferdinando for the Coliseum underground tour were on top of everything going on with their knowledge of roman history and restorations. And... More

Amazing tour... amazing guide (Uta). We've been on many, many tours and this is a must do. I wouldn't see the Vatican any other way. I know it is off-season but we had the Sistine Chapel to ourselves (and 10 others) ONLY for 30 minutes. A once in a lifetime experience. Uta was incredibly knowledgeable on art, architecture and history.... More

Dear Sunwineandpasta, Thank you for reviewing our Pristine Sistine Vatican tour. We are extremely happy you enjoyed the early access so much, and felt so privileged to be able to spend an entire 30 minutes almost alone in the Chapel, as that is indeed a lifetime experience! We are also delighted to read you had such an amazing time with... More

Wear your most comfortable shoes and make sure that you're dressed appropriately for the weather. The tour will push through whatever the weather is. The tour is great! I can't believe that almost all of what is Rome known for is just walking distance to each other except for the Vatican. We started with Colosseum. Better come earlier than the... More

It was a great bang for our buck! All of our friends and family told us to do more tours in Italy, and we made the mistake of trying to do our own. After the first few days on the ground, we were thrilled to find 'Walks of Italy' (especially after another tour companies site lost our business simply because... More

I am not someone that likes doing a tour group thing... especially in museums, galleries or places of tourists I prefer to get some material, read, walk my own pace and read at leisure... that is, until I did a 'Walks of Italy' tour... They were so good that I ended up doing three: an after hours tour of St... More

Two adults and 3 kids we did this tour in Winter in the AM expecting it to be quiet. It was very busy but the guides ensured we were not in with the crowd as we experienced the under ground and upper level of the Colosseum. Well worth it to pay the extra to do this. Lifts were available for... More

I booked the Afternoon Premium Colosseum tour that covered the colosseum, palatine hill and The Forum. John was just a wonderfully informed and entertaining guide. His stories were captivating and he really helps you understand what life in Roman times would truly have been like - it really is a walk through history. My one comment is don't expect many...
