the Vatican is now open after hours for tours and the crowds are smaller you will miss out on St Peters Basilica but will get to see things you cannot see during the day and the Sisten Chapel seemed less crowded

yes. Ours was a combined tour. The museum took the most time. The Sistine Chapel is about 20 minutes. The guide is waits for you at the far end of the chapel. You can re-enter the Basilica on your own after you museum... More
