While we didn't do a tour with an actual person, but we did get an audio guide around Pompeii from Pompei Service Tours. It was the only real information we were given about the ruins while we were in there. The guide book we got with the tickets from the ticket booth was hard to follow, so we were happy... More

Moving towards the archaeological area of Pompei you ll be certanly approached by one of theyr opearators, as they literally patrol the area around and press whoever is passing trying to capture your attention. You can even easly disguise them as an official info point tour for the "i" they show BUT THEY ARE NOT. It is just one very... More

We tried their Mt Vesuvious tour. We were not informed in advance that the entrance gate to the top could be closed due to the weather. It was so windy there and even snowing a little. The gate was closed. I think they had a way to know about this. Bad luck. Another thing, this is bothering me a lot,... More

We decided to go up Vesuvius with these guys instead of from Herculaneum as we were already in Pompeii. They took us up (there were no seat belts) and there had been an accident that caused the road up to be closed, so we stopped and waited for it to clear. After maybe 20mins the driver began to take us... More

We consider ourselves to be seasoned independent travellers and made our way to Pompeii by public transport. We visited the official tourist office 1st and were given advice and a map. The kind lady there was unable to give us an up to date guide book as they were out of stock of English ones. She directed us towards the ruins.... More

These people saw we were a bit lost and stopped us saying they provide info for tourists. I am not not going to talk about money, these guys just left us on top of Vesuvius. It took us 2 hours to return back to Pompeii and calling Salvatore, he would give me a new excuse every 2 seconds. First he... More

My family and I had a great day out thanks to Salvatore's family run business. We expressed our concerns on how people drive etc, and Salvatore made sure that Nino, the gentleman who drove us around would drive slowly. Nino was really nice and professional and I would use their services again if I return. The cost was also reasonable,... More

This crowd are complete scammers and con artists. They prey on tourists en route to the Pompeii ruins advising them they are at the exit and lure them in to their premises with promises of great prices. We paid €20 each (7 of us in our party but they didn't charge for the one child) for a bus up to... More

We booked two trips: vesuvio and a guided tour in Pompeii ruins. The guide was extremely good and made the visit very interresting for both adults and kids. The Vesuvio-trip was also great - but not because of the company. We were promised several photostops on the way down from the mountain, but the driver - who turned up 25... More
