Having read all the reviews we took a stroll over to the area. It’s a very nice area and the little island with the restaurants bars and the castle is well worth a visit. The Grand Hotel Santa Lucia overlooks it and is a great place to stay.

The Concierge Giovanni
Aug 2019 • Family
Summer 2019, my family returned to our Napolitan roots and we stayed at Santa Lucia, Naples Italy in the province of Campania . The entire staff was warm, friendly and informative, but one staff member was outstanding, Giovanni the concierge!! Giovanni guided us to the correct restaurants, shopping locations, and most importantly, the historical sites. He arranged a magnificent walking tour of the Spanish Quarter and the historical section including the Basilica of San Gennaro and San GregorioArmeno street. The only tour drawback was Giovanni with his warm and caring personality did not give the tour himself. Giovanni appreciated and understood that we wanted to see Naples; not only the tourist locations but to experience the local culture and cuisine as well. Giovanni made such a huge, positive impact that we rearranged our trip and went back to Santa Lucia for extra nights spending less time in Rome and more time in Naples. Visiting Naples is a must but staying at the exceptionally clean and accommodating Santa Lucia with Giovanni the concierge spearheading and guiding your tours, experiences and where to eat and shop is an absolute must!!!! Bravo Giovanni and buona fortuna!!! We are planning a return trip this summer.

A place for mingling with the locals
Sep 2019 • Solo
I love the walk across piazza plebliscito down onto the Santa Lucia .
Many restaurants here , bars , lots of people and families.
You might encounter a wedding having their photos .
Here you will see the wonderful views across the water to see the forbidding Mount Vesuvius which looks harmless and beautiful in the distance .
The sea is remarkably blue.
If you want to see the real life of Napoli come along here on the weekend

The heartland of the city
Jun 2019 • Couples
Its certainly a trawler’s paradise. Above the steep, seaside hill of Santa Lucia is the tiny district of Pallonetto, the core of old fishermen’s Quarters and the location of many of Sophia Loren movies. I like to think that here is where you meet the authentic streets of Naples

A Nicer Part Of Naples
May 2019 • Couples
The area is historic with a number of notable buildings but the most striking difference to other parts of Naples were the better quality shops and the lesser amount of graffiti. We walked through the area after leaving via Toledo and found it quite interesting early evening.

Lovely area of Naples, trully high-end, especially compared to some other parts of the city.
Nice little marina and constant breeze of fresh sea air.

Lovely hotel
Jan 2019 • Couples
Fabulous room. Great location. Would so easily have given a 5 score but the banging on day 3 of our 4 day stay woke us up before 8am. It continued most of the morning. They offered to move our room but we couldn’t be bothered as it’s a hassle. I said they shouldn’t allow people to stay in rooms when there is work going on. Anyway we would stay again.

The best hotel in Naples
Nov 2018
Great location overlooking Castel dell’Ovo, the ocean and marina.
Great service: kind, professional and smart.
Great breakfast with the best of local specialities (babà, pastiera, sfogliatelle, caprese and more).
Absolutely one of the best room we have ever had in Naples: double ocean front with jacuzzi.
Within the walking area: quite and safe.
100% success for a romantic escape but also a perfect solution for a business or family trip.
Great restaurants walking distance (for example Restaqmme or Rosolino corner).
I suggest this hotel for an outstanding experience to visit Naples.

Superb Hotel
Nov 2018 • Couples
This was our first visit to Naples also at this wonderful Hotel we had a sea view room with lovely views over the Bay of Naples, our room was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom. The staff were friendly and professional and always very helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. We only stayed for 3 nights but we will be definitely returning to the Santa Lucia again for a longer stay next time. We really enjoyed our stay.
