Founded in the 14th century as a Carthusian monastery, this museum contains a ceiling painting of the "Ascension" by Lanfranco and the ceiling fresco of the "Triumph of Judith" (1704) by Luca Giordano.

The cloisters were the best part. Large areas of the museum were closed off; one could see inside the glassed-off areas and there was plenty of stuff in there but perhaps due to staffing shortages those areas were closed. The Chapel was lovely as well....More

The building is nice, and the views of Naples are great, but the painting exhibition was closed and all that was there to see where some models boats and nativity scenes. Avoid. 20.06.17
