A busy square filled with tourists. We had a couple of expensive beers and watched the world float by. Don't take the stairs. Great views!

If this place would be a bit quieter it would be quite charming but as it is the first point of entry of anyone entering the peatonal Capri it is so crowded you just want to escape from. Pass by take a couple of pictures...More

Being on the Island of Capri was not the highlight I expected. Maybe I was not ready to face the "hordes" after spending a peaceful three hours in a gozzo boat around the island.

Any of the cafes here are great for lunch and to chill out. The prices are all a bit higher than in Rome, as you can imagine- this is Capri Town.

Crowds were crazy as everyone seemed to converge on this tiny square in the center of Capri....Had a glass of wine and chips and couldn’t wait to leave...

It is a nice small square all tourists sit there for a coffee so it is often overcrowed, if you look in the small streets around the square you can find very nice places

Every tourist visits this square so it can get quite busy. It is surrounded by shops and restaurants, all inviting you to come in - if you can afford the prices.

A lovely place to start acclimatising to Capri and get a feel for the place. Glad we went in April however. I suspect that in high summer the endless sightseeing groups traipsing all over teh place must become unbearable

We came here to walk around, shop, have a meal and enjoy the shops. It wasn’t crowded and it just was a pleasure. I highly recommend coming here. Don’t forget to try the gelato

A small piazza, the largest for Capri’s dimensions, two Cafes a bell tower and two or three shops, lively and colorful At all times, just a one minute walk away from the last bus stop coming from Marina Grande. Take a sit, have a ristretto...More

Same as previous answer, its a busy tourist spot, so can't see the shops and tours being closed. Its their main income.
