Set midway up a rock face, this cavern is filled with stalactites and stalagmites, where the limestone rock seems to reflect only white rays of light.

Went on a boat trip around Capri islands. We were shown the grottos - white blue and green. Stunning hidden location Best go in not so peak times as can get busy. North side of island quite choppy

Although boats can't go far inside this small grotto, you can access it by series of steps that take you inside, where you can see the white algy, by which the grotto gets its name.

Having a background in the natural sciences, I find these places fascinating. The sea and water from above have carved out this auditorium; add to that the skill of the boat captain to get you in and out and you have a great experience

We rented a boat and toured the island of Capri by water. We stopped at the many beautiful rock formations and grottos. The white grotto is one of those. It is a natural formation with an arch that you can enter.
