The ravine was pretty much opposite our hotel (Cesar Augusto) and a 2 minute walk from piazza Tasso, the ravine is deep and it looks so out of place in the centre of a big town like Sorrento but definitely worth a look, just a...More

I would love to give this place 5 stars, but you can't really get any closer than street level (as far as I could tell). It looked like there was a staircase (with a locked gate) through the parking lot across the street from this...More

We passed the ravine on the bus ride to town and walked back to find these amazing ruins. I've seen many pictures of Il Vallone dei Mulini before and was delighted to see it in person. Worth scouting out.

Spotted this tucked away piece of history by accident. Its not far from the main square in sorrento and would be a good idea to come and see. Its tucked away over the side of a bridge so can be easy to miss. Only mannaged...More

Amazing little hidden place. Covered in lush greenery and apparently has its own microclimate. A dizzingly high way down but definitely worth peering over the railing at. A real hidden gem.

Enjoyed seeing this "hidden" gem. Easy walk - just a block from city center. Stopped during both day and at night (lit by spotlights). Charming and eerie at same time. From the tour books I thought it would be recessed down further. However, still enjoyed...More

Just a short walk from the Piazzo and restaurants permitted us to look down on some interesting concrete structures. They were 13th century stone flour mills that took advantage of the constant stream at the bottom of the valley. The mills ground all the types...More

Really worth a wee detour from the Piazza Tasso. Less than two minutes walk away and a simple, small and 'special' sight. Nothing to 'do' there except simply 'observe' and enjoy seeing the ruined remnants of an old (very old) mill and, now, the lush...More

This hidden gem is right in the middle of Sorrento and you could easily drive past and not know it's there. You have to look over the railing and your head will spin because of the height, but you will get some amazing photo's

If you find this little haeven next to the rush piazza Torquato Tasso you don't believe your eyes. It's really nice and when you look down your head will spin because of the height/depth.

From Piazza Tasso as you look at Bar Fauno take the road to the left of the bar. You will be walking towards Hotel Antiche Mura. It is down in the valley opposite the hotel.
