Relatively small museum, over two floors, very interesting exhibits of local area, pottery jewellery etc. Highlight of the museum is the mask of Apollo, which we found to be displayed in an atmospheric manner. Definitely worth a visit, maybe takes around one hour to complete...More

Frustrating that none of the information from the Tourist information or on the web showed that this was closed. I am not sure when the museum will reopen!

I was along exploring this wonderful, well appointed small museum. The highlight is the head of Apollo, found in the Gulf of Salerno. However, the impressive building houses many other noteworthy items and descriptions are in Italian and English. Well worth the small 4 Euro...More

The two-storey building is nicely designed and the collection is carefully curated. There are a few outstanding pieces of Greek pottery and the Head of Apollo is absolutely gorgeous.

This museum has recently been updated, with the collection nicely displayed in a fully air conditioned builiding (always appreciated in the summer!). The one "head's up" for those driving to this location is that the GPS had a dreadful time finding it, sending us down...More

Wow. Just wow. It was a cold and snowy day and I was looking for something not more than a short walk from our rental. The Museo Archeologico Provinciale was convenient, near the bank where we had to go anyway, and, most importantly, open. Now...More
