Nice (but long) way to get to the Amalfi Coast from Naples

The "fast ferry" / aliscafo from Sorrento to Positano/Amalfi was my one opportunity to see the Amalfi Coast from the water on a short trip, and I was very excited. If you are considering the same thing, DON'T DO IT! There is no outside area on the boat, the windows don't open, and they are filthy. Take a look at... More

We took the Hydrofoil Ferry from Naples to Amalfi with a short layover in Sorrento. It was a nice ride, although it took a while. It was a pretty clean ferry and not overly packed, although I'm sure it gets quite packed at times. If you don't want to take the winding road through the Amalfi Coast and to see... More

Tickets overbooked, lots of disinformation. Really sad they are so inconsiderate with other people's plans. Not good at all

Took this ferry from Amalfi to Capri and back again. Sat up top in the blazing sun and heat and was hit by marvelous ocean breezes, cooling me off mostly pleasantly. It was a fantastic way to get out onto the water and sightsee the Amalfi coastline on the way to and fro destinations. I would highly recommend.

If you like being packed like sardines if it rains this is the boat for you. Just taking a trip to Capri and the entire upper deck has had to come onto the lower deck as it has started raining . It was full downstairs already so you can imagine how rammed it is now adding an additional 100 people... More

After going to Amalfi by Bus, then spending quite a lot of time walking around the town doing the usual tourist thing, taking the boat back seemed a good idea. The sea trip was very pleasant, about 75 mins, nobody really bothered you on board to buy drinks etc, as some boats do as you are a captive audience. On... More

Salerno is the best point for us for a ferry to Capri so we had no other option. I was able to make reservations and pay by cc on-line (alicost.it) for round-trip tickets (20-23€ each way). The ferry leaves Salerno from the main commercial port where there is no parking, you have to find something on the streets nearby and... More

On my way to Capri from Amalfi, i took the ferry of this company. The trip was fine, but unfortunately the staff while i was on the boat throw cigarets butts to the sea. I think that in a country like Italy and more particularly for a company for which sea is so important should be more concern about sea... More
